During quarantine I decided I would start teaching my skills!
If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make simple patterns in Adobe Illustrator, here’s your video!
What I'm up to these days....
I’ve been home for about a month and a half and have been trying to pick up on a project I put down in December “How To Draw Campers”.
It takes you step-by-step through drawing a camper and also has a lot of fun pages where you draw a crazy smore.
Here I was roughly adding color just to see what fits.
This book is for anyone who likes to have adventures, camping, and/or drawing in books!
I’m going to be sharing more of my process for making work over the next few months.
If you want to hear about any upcoming products I’ll be launching or keep in touch with my next adventure sign up for my newsletter.
New Orleans Tea Towels
I had the pleasure of creating this New Orleans themed tea towel for The Parish Line!
Podcast Illustration
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to create artwork for a podcast episode from one of my favorite travel author's Rolf Potts.
He wanted a simple illustration that reflected the title "Classic rock is not dead. Classic rock is undead. Long live classic rock."
The Apple Pencil is My New Obsession
The past year I've been trying to "up my game" in regards to my illustration work.
It was a natural progression of paper and ink, to watercolor, then I wanted to get digital. I found the Wacom tablets to be too expensive and required a computer.
Then, I started to notice that my favorite illustrators were singing praises to Apple for the Apple Pencil. I decided to invest.
I AM NOW OBSESSED. It is the most comfortable and natural way to draw digitally that I've ever experienced.
I also find that Procreate has loads of tools from pencils to brushes to "flick" techniques. I love how the pencil option lets you shade on the side while also doing a pressure sensitive "hard" and "soft" line.
Lastly, you do not need a computer, it even records the drawing, and records the time spent on each drawing. Amazing!
I am really enjoying how much improvement I've made since I've had this tool in my toolbox.
If you're on the fence about getting one, I would absolutely encourage it!
Happy Drawing!

Hi guys!
I've recently made a conscious effort to be more involved in the art community and share more of my work. Soooo, I'm just saying hi, and that I will be posting more artsy stuff on this page!
The watercolor postcards I found on sale at the local art and craft store. Considering I am travelling a lot I was excited to find a postcard I could make myself and send through the mail. If anyone wants a postcard I will send postcards to the first 5 people that send me their address!
Hope ya'll are having a very creative day!

A Time Of Graditude
In honor of Thanksgiving, I've written a few thank you notes. Nothing makes people feel more special in this digital age than a hand written note. Try it sometime and see what happens.
